We bought our first home in July 2015. It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath 1919 bungalow in south Oak Park, Illinois. It was in great shape when we purchased it but oh those yellow walls, ceiling and trim oh my! (I will tell you all about that in future posts) We love the history and character of the homes in Oak Park. There is also so much this community has to offer. We have lived here several years we lived in the same two flat for 6 years total and ended up buying a home just a couple blocks away, same street even. I will have many posts about the community, local businesses, parks and of course our home. We have already begun to make it our own and I hope to show you more of the projects and progress as we complete it. My husband, Jon Harle, is a realtor here in Oak Park for last 6 years.
